I bought more erasers at target. I have a ton already but they are only $1 for 60 and they are adorable. They come in handy at home and school. Here are 5 ways you can put them to good use so the next time you are at Target, you might want to pick some up. I should pull them all out and have Cole organize them. That will keep him busy for a while!
1. Bingo Chips
We play a lot of bingo at school and these are great for Bingo chips. I like to swap out and use them seasonally.
2. Game pieces
I make a lot of my own board games at school for targeting specific language and articulation goals so these are the perfect size for game piece.
3. Sorting/categories
It's fun to take a bunch of them and sort them out to see all of the different shapes. I even like to do it! Have the child tell you what category - animal, food, sea creature etc.
4. Counting
Count all of them or count certain ones. They are great for practicing those counting skills. You could easily use them for graphing too - a combination of sorting and counting. Give the child a handful and have them line up "same." Which one do you have the most of? Which one do you have the least of?
5. Geocaching
We go geocaching and it's easy to throw a bunch in my pocket to put in the caches, especially the little ones. If you don't know what geocaching is, then you are a muggle and you should look it up at www.geocaching.com. It's a lot of fun! Not when it's 90 degrees out but on cooler days :)
