We have been in an official heat wave so we've been spending a lot of time in the pool. For New England, it has been over 80 for almost a week. That may not seem like much but we I am melting. I took Cole and we ventured out to run some errands for the first time in a while since the pandemic. First stop, Dollar Tree. I don't mind bringing Cole to Dollar Tree since as you know, everything is a dollar! Much better than a trip to Walmart where everything Cole likes is $10+ Spending $5 will provide hours of fun. Plus, if your dog eats the pool noodle (whoops) you can spend another $1 for a new one without cringing. Check out these fun pool toys. 1. Pool Noodle - great for floating, head rest, sword, blowing water through, splashing, taunting the dog... 2. Squirt Gun - we have "wars" and possibly squirt the dog when he barks at us for going in the pool. The easiest way to fill it up while in the pool, is to open the cork and hold it by the jet. #poolhack 3. Boat- they come in all shapes and sizes, some are wind up (but usually break after a week or so) and will keep Cole busy racing them and spinning around in the pool. 4. Strainer - I have no idea why it provides fun for Cole. He likes to scoop, pretend it's a paddle and cover his face during water gun wars. 5. Splash n Swim Water Balls - These soak up the water and are great for throwing, unless you have a dog obsessed with playing ball and mad at you for going in the pool. There you have it! $5 and hours of fun in the pool. Do you use anything unique like the strainer in the pool? Drop a comment below.
