We often use Alexa to play music around the house since we now have 3 Alexa devices. Rather than just a regular station, like country, you can have Alexa play a ton of kids songs. We use them as motivators and get moving songs throughout the day. Cole will even tell Alexa to play the clean up song before we do! It's so nice to be in the middle of doing dishes and to just ask to have her play something. Get moving and get out some energy with these 5 fun favorites of ours.
1."Alexa, play the clean up song."
Any time you need to clean up, play this song and have a race. It can be a great motivator unless your child would rather take his time and listen to it five times in a row by saying, "Alexa, play that again." This is the most popular song we play.
2."Alexa, play the freeze dance song."
If you need to shake out some wiggles just have Alexa play the song by the Kiboomers. It is great to practice listening to directions and to get some sillies out.
3."Alexa, play down by the bay."
Kids think this song is hilarious - a llama wearing pajamas?! This is a good one to get them to try to sing to.
4."Alexa, play kids who let the dogs out kidz bop."
This is another good one to get some energy out and dance and bark! This usually gets Cole a little crazy. A calm song after this, does the trick.
5."Alexa, play what does the fox say?"
Be careful - this will get stuck in your head all day! You can also ask Alexa what the fox says and she'll say a different line every time.
You can also ask Alexa to play kids music or play silly kids songs and she will play a bunch. There is a gummy bear song that's pretty weird and fun. At school, we play a lot of youtube videos, like the kiboomers and Learning Station in between a lot of work to take a quick mind break to help us focus.
